What piece of music would you recommend for a 2 year flute player?

Try the second movement of Poulenc's Flute Sonata for flute and piano. It is slower.

Avoid the first and third movements for now. They are too difficult and quite fast...especially the third movement.

My suggestion is the 3 Gymnopédies by Eric Satie.
