Position:Home>Performing Arts> Drum kit sizes?

Question:ok basically i'm going to be getting either a mapex vx or m birch. i'm wondering what would be better for me standard, rock, jazz or fusion sizes. i play jazz, rock, rnb, pop.. just most genres in general. what size do youy think i should get.
and if you want to be really useful, you could also tell me which 3 piece (hi hat, ride, crash) cymbal packs will be good to buy for under £200/$400. please give me an exact name, not just the brand.

i've been wondering why i havent been getting much answers, but i now realise i should have put this question in performing arts instead of general music.

I prefer the fusion kit, I like the sound of smaller toms. Having a 14" floor tom is handy, if you break a snare drum head during a gig, you can borrow it off the bottom of your floor tom.

I've tried Mapex drums, the maple and birch both sound good. The birch has a mellower (less sharp) tone.

As for cymbals for under $400, check out these Sabian B8 pro cymbals. They're what I use. http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/S...
