Question:Please i need a guitar solo for the song now your gone by Basshunter httphttp://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IgFwiCApH7...

In school for my GCSE i am playing this song on the guitar with one person singing it, in the middle of the song there is a break, i want to do a solo in that break but not sure how. can anyone come up with a good solo for it please (the chords consist of Am, F, G and C)

If i stop the chords to do a solo would it sound strange because there is no one else to play them, a solo on guitar may sound strange without chords in the background?

Thankyou

i dont really know the song but it will probably sound really hollow with no backing, unless you are really good, in which case you wouldnt be asking us. I'd stick with the chords and play them in a different time sig, so you still have a solo guitar break but not an actual lead with no rhythm

Play the solo to Iron man in that Key. That is a bad *** solo.

and so make a solo and do what?
do u even ahve any idea what id be talking abt?

ok, start with an arpeggiated harmonic slide, staccato...
run up a pedal point on the G or C, and then break up a simple pentatonic minor

just improvise when practising and then find the 1 that fits!
thats wot i did 4 my bro wen he needed it 4 a concert at skl!

a really good guitarist could pull off a solo with no accompaniment. I would recommend doing a chord solo.
something with a lot of grace notes, kind of like Hendrix on Hey Joe

how about embelleshing the chords your playing.A few trills etc. or using the notes of the chords, play a melody with the notes between the chord notes.Had a listen to that song,my sound is bad at the moment but it sounds like there's a B6interval after the C.2nd fret 5th string,5th fret 4th string.
