go 4 it! don't be scared or nervous. just sing whichever song suits you the best. you know you can do better than everyone else, so there isn't a problem. you know you have talent and make sure everyone else knows that, too. don't be afraid to use your talents and skills. besides, it's just a school talent show. what do you have to lose? as far as going on american idol, i think you should do that as well. don't ever let anyone stop you from fulfilling your dreams.

If you have the talent, then why not?!

Those 2 songs are too big to pull off. Choose something you are comfortable with and wouldn't freak out about.

Sing as if you are singing to a friend. Picture that friend and "see: that friend. It will help you get through it.

Try karaoke first, so you know whether you'll get cold feet or be able to sing.

Then you can sing or be an audience member. Audience member is a very important role!

Yes, but first you could hire a good voice teacher to teach you techniques to overcome stage fright. Learning how to perform with confidence will stop the embarrassment. Just think of singing your song as a job you have to do.

yes, no need to be embarrassed.

Confidence. Have confidence in yourself, and in your voice. Believe in yourself. Yes, if you have enough confidence in yourself, I believe you will be amazing.
