Question:I have to decide before friday. I really want to play high school soccer, but I also want to act, and be in plays. I love doing both, and it's so hard to choose just one. If i play soccer, I'll have practice every day, and I won't have time for acting. What should i do?

This is hard. At one time I had to choose between cheerleading and theatre in high school. I chose theatre eventually, but not before I spent a year and a half cheering and also trying to make time for theatre. There was a point where I did a show and was on the cheer team at the same time. I would go to school, then rehearsal, then practice. Sometimes you just have to try both for a while and see which you like the best. Follow your heart!

Do soccer. Then find a summer workshop in acting.

Note that there are many athletes who successfully career-shift into acting, but far fewer child actors who grow up to become athletes. Sports skills need to be learned early, but acting can be learned at any age. So doing your favorite sport now will keep more options open for college.
