electric?

Question:i have an acoustic/electric guitar....but idk why its called that, rather then just an acoustic guitar.....is there some special reason why its called this like i can hook it up to something to make it sound like an electric guitar?

It has a pickup in the guitar so you can plug it into an amplifier.

You can make it sound like an electric guitar if you use an effect pedal called a tubescreamer.

because you can plug it into an amp so you can play it louder
it wont sound like an electric though

It's designed to be played as an acoustic or amplified acoustic guitar. It's completely different than an electric guitar.
