Question:He called it the "Opera Populaire" in his show and the movie.
In Gaston Leroux's ORIGINAL Phantom of the Opera it was actually at the "Paris Opera House."
Or "Garnier's Opera House."
It's all based on Charles Garnier's Opera though.

The Paris Opera House.

Before the phantom of the opera was produced by the great Andrew Lloyd Webber it was a novel by Gaston Leroux. He wrote the 1910 and it was set in the Paris Opera House. An I believe in fact I'm 100% sure its the same for the musical. :-)
