Because there is no way to alter the sounding length of the string which is what happens when musicians do vibrato on the violin.

You could try reaching inside the piano and pushing down on the string....I have heard of this being done.

Cos of the way a piano works.When you strike a key, it operates a hammer whicn hita a group of strings to play the note. There is no way to make the note vary in pitch rapidly.

did you try striking a key while holding the pedal and moving you finger up and down the strings inside? I haven't tried this but it might work since it works on a guitar.

there is. hook up a mike and set the amp to vibrato mode.
