Music career?

Question:ok so i want to make a career out of music. the problem is, i am a sophomore now, i quit band in 8th grade, and quit piano lessons when i was in 3rd grade. i love playing the piano and guitar and would love to start playing the french horn again. i really want to have a career in music with either the french horn or piano but i dont know how to get back into it. help? thanks in advance

Which instrument do you love the most? Pursue that one.

If they're equal in your mind, then do piano. That's in greater demand than f-horn.

If f-horn is your choice, re-join your band ASAP and arrange private lessons with the best teacher you can find. Seek referrals for teachers at your nearest college's music department.

If it's piano, then don't join the band (LOL) but do seek lessons, as described above. Note that if you dropped out of band because you couldn't stand the director, this would be a better option.

Your success at the career will depend primarily on how much you practice. Build up to 3 hours daily and you'll be a professional in demand.

Long-term; you'll probably want to attend a college that has a bachelor of music program in performance in your preferred instrument.

Get more lessons, practice practice practice, join a band, make connections with other musicians (its a very social occupation).

Go get lessons! And do it for a talent show! So you will make it!

Well, at my high school they let u star band anytime from freshman to junior. Like, I stopped in 7th but then in Highschool I wanted to start a new instrument so I joined beginers band, well orchastra. If u can't do that in ur school then join private lessons.

Well if you're not first rate stick with guitar and piano and do club bands and theater accompanyment.
