Yes, it is for most people. It really doesn't matter though, you can learn guitar just as easily. Learning piano helps cuz' then you know how to read music.

Sure, once you have learned one instrument , a second can be picked up quite naturally, because you already have the basic understanding of music concept.

any instrument with the notes laid out in front of you will help you understand what you are playing. piano requires a bit of theory to know what your playing and should help you with any instrument you pick up
