Question:Can you actually tune the strings to Bass standard EADG? My lower E string snapped so I can't play any guitar songs until my strings come from ebay. Is it possible to tune it until EADG (one octave lower than standard guitar tuning?)

If you mean tune the lower four strings of an electric guitar (which are already E-A-D-G) an octave lower (as if the guitar was a bass), the answer is no. The strings will be way too loose (wrong tension) and it will sound pretty crumby. (The strings will vibrate noisily against the fretboard and you won't be able to keep them in tune for very long.) On the other hand, if you're into weird sounds or noise music, you might like the result.

If you're thinking of putting electric bass strings on an electric guitar, don't- unless you want to pay the costs of replacing the guitar's truss rod, or bridge, or tuning pegs, or all of the above (standard electric guitars are simply not built to handle the heavier gages of bass strings.)

yeah, you can. take it to a music shop.
