get an auto tuner way easier than buy ear

Some pro dude has to do it.

buy a tuner

You have to get a guitar tuner from the store and just turn it on and it will be red, keep strumming one string at a time and turn the tuner slowly until it's at the green light. Keep on doing it with the rest of the strings.

In order to tune a guitar you have to be familar with the sound of each string.

You can buy an electric tuner or tuning fork.

An electric tuner is much easier. Eventually you'll get the hang of how each string should sound. Then you canpractice tuning by ear.

i have been trying to figure that out for years----here's wat i kno----Turn the little turny things (at the top) right to tightin it, makes the sound more vibrant and stronger, turn them left to loosin them, makes them sound really bad if you turn them to much. You kno which string you turn by following the turny things string to the strings down below.

SORRY THIS IS SOOO CONFUSING

you can either go out and buy a tuner or you can find one online...here you go....

p.s.- for some reason the links arent working so you're gonna have to copy and paste...sry =[

1) Go to the 5th fret. Tune string #6 to lower DO.

2) Press string #6 on the 5th fret and make string #5 sound like a pressed #6 string on the 5th fret.

3) Press string #5 on the same fret and make string #4 sound like a pressed string #5 on the same fret.

4) Press string #4 on the same fret and make string #3 sound like a pressed string #4 on the same fret.

5) Press string #3 on the 4th fret and make string #2 sound like a pressed string #3 on the 4th fret.

6) Press string # 2 on the 5th fret and make string #1 sound like a pressed string #2 on the 5th fret.

7) Do chord C and refine your tuning using your sense of hearing.

First you tune the second biggest string to an A. That's the second one fom the top when the neck is in your left hand. You will need to but a tuning fork that is a perfect A.
Next tune the top string (E) while fretting at the fifth fret until it sounds like the A you just tuned. Now fret the A string (second biggest) at the fifth fret and tune the D (third from the top) until it sounds just like the fretted A string. Now go to the G (fourth from the top) and repeat the action. Now go to the B (fifth from the top) and repeat the same action. Finally you are at the High E string, the thinnest one and the one at the bottom. Fret the B string at the fourth fret (not the fifth like you've been doing) and tune the open High E to that fretted B. Now go back and be sure the A is still in tune with your tuning fork and recheck the tuning of each string. As you tune a guitar it changes the tension on the neck and you may need to do some fine tuning.
