How do I pick the riff to CULT OF PERSONALITY?

Question:The riff before the chorus..well actually technically the bridge. It is 3/4 time and it is all 16th notes. Gererally I wouldpick it alternate...starting on a down stroke and ending on an up. The tricky part is the pull of on the second note kinda screws with my picking...not to metion the wide intervals and the weird accents.
How would you pick it?

I only knew that one on bass but what if you started on an up stroke? Kind of a "and ONE" with one being your first down stroke.
