The Allora brand is a good student brand. There are better brands that would be better investments than an Allora.

Those are pretty much the best student saxophones people can invest in.
For professional horns, don't just take someone's recommendation (like the guy who only endorses Selmer Super Actions). Try them. The brands that are generally considered quality professional horns are (in no particular order):
Selmer
Yamaha
Yanigasawa
Keilwerth
Cannonball
P. Muariat

If you can't already identify a good saxaphone then an Allora should suffice.

You will want a little higher quality later on should you continue though.
