Position:Home>Performing Arts> Bass Guitar Dent, Can it be repaired?

Question:I recently bought a Epiphone Thunderbird bass at Guitar Center. It had a few dents at the bottom that didn't effect anything but the looks and they knocked the price down to $100 (from $300) So I bought it and I'm wondering if there is anyway I can fix these dents...

Also, if the best thing would to be to take it into a repair shop, how much do you think it will cost?

Thanks

I agree that I wouldn't do anything to it except maybe touch up the paint.

They take a beating over the years so spend the time practicing rather than working on your carpentry skills.

I've got some nicks in my 8 year old cheap Squire and I don't believe they've affected anything. I only play for myself so for me it's not an issue. But if you gig at all I'd say get it fixed. Don't know the cost. If you're just playing to your ipod I wouldn't worry about it.

Why bother. If it were easily done don't you think the store would have done it and charged the full $300 for it?
have you seen Eddie Van Halen's guitars?http://www.vintagekramer.com/5150f.htm
besides...that gray is so ugly, I would sooner take a hammer claw to that thing and give it some character ;)
