Let me first say nice choice on your selection of a Distortion pedal. Nice unit.

Your power supply can either be a 9 V battery or a Boss PSA-120S Adapter. Don't chince out and buy a general 9 V adapter, it may not supply the amps needed to run the pedal correctly and will eventually ruin it.

The chords you will need will be two 1/4" INSTRUMENT CABLES. One for the OUTPUT and one for the INPUT. DO NOT buy SPEAKER CABLES. Speaker cables will ruin your equipment and are not intended for instrument use. Not to mention the fire hazard and the aweful buzzing you will get from them. Speaking from experience make sure you get the instrument cables.

These are the specs for the power supply directly from the manufacturer:
Power Supply: DC 9 V: Dry Battery 9 V type (6F22/9 V), AC Adaptor
Accessories: Dry Battery 9 V type (6F22/9 V)
Option: AC Adaptor (PSA-Series)

I can't help you with the online shipping issue, I have no idea. Try musiciansfriend.com it may ship to you???
Good luck and happy hunting.

It burns through batteries pretty quickly - get the boss 9v adapter. If you do use batteries, unplug the cables from the pedal after you're finished using it or the battery will go dead even faster.

If you had a cable going from your guitar to your amp before, now you will need another one, as you will go from your guitar to the metal zone, and then from the metal zone to your amp.

But this pedal before your amp, don't put it in the effects loop, as it won't sound right.

It's a brutal pedal - it's got a wide variety of metal sounds in it, one of the best metal pedals out there, until you get into pedals that actually use tubes (I've heard some good tones from Big Muff Metal pedals ... or whatever they're called).

You might want to invest in a power strip... that way you can get away from the wall, and get your pedal closer to you and your amp. The adapter will plug into the top of the pedal and that's all you need to power it.
