Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I'm auditioning for AIDA, and I want a solo that brings out some great vocal talents. Thanks! PLEASE!!! As a director we do not want to hear anything by Andrew Lloyd Webber of from LEs Miz.. Tired and overdone audition songs. Best audition pieces are those similiar to the production you are auditioning for. Be familiar with e shows score of Aida, then find something similiar DEFYING GRAVITY. I AGREE WITH ALLIE<3 I LOVE RENT TOOOOOO! out tonight is a mad good song. and ADAM PASCAL=LOVE. "I dreamed a dream" from Les Miserables. Really brings out the emotion. Well Defying Gravity is a VERY GOOD choice, I agree But the all time BEST broadway song for female is OUT TONIGHT from RENT RENT is the BEST show ever written! You should really see it! Jonathon Larson is my hero! Your Daddy's Son- Ragtime It's so beautiful <333 I agree.. Defying Gravity from "Wicked" is an Amazing song sung by Idina Menzel. Same with No Good Deed from the same play Depending on what range you sing in, yes, "Defying Gravity" from Wicked is an awesome and showy number, but "Popular" (also from Wicked) also showcases some excellent vocal skills, is upbeat and makes a great impression. Good luck!!! =) Memory from CATS Theres Gimme-Gimme from throughly moderd millie its a great song but u need a really broad rangs u might also want to do something from hairspray but if its an audition u might not want to because its very popular maybe Popular from wicked or What I Did for Love from a chours line theres also One from a chours line but i think thats a duet OH I NOE u could do Roxie from chicago or All That Jazz hope i helped "Think of me" from Phantom or "Unexpected Song" from Aspects of Love Look up "think of me" sung by Sarah Brightman or "Unexpected Song" sung by Bernadette Peters on Youtube. Personally, "Unexpected Song" would impress the hell out of me. Phantom of the Opera. It is AMAZING! |
