I am very very bad at the guitar but.....?

Question:i can only play the beginning of smells like teen spirit and i can play smoke on the water but i would love to play "Ugly" by the exies and just the beginning of "Chop Suey" by system of a down. none of the tab websites are accurate. ive been to practically every one any suggsetion on playing easier, simple chrods songs? or if you can help me on the songs i want to be able to play. thank you for reading

You need to do exercises, just strum random chords to improve how fast you can play, play with a metronome etc.etc. You can't just pick up the guitar and expect it to work like magic. It takes time. I've been playing for 6 months (self-taught) and I still don't live up to my own expectations.

Do easier songs. Look up "easy guitar songs" on the search engine for this website. You'll find SO many you can barely stand it. You'll just have to be patient. I hate to say it, but it's true. Do some easy songs, like "Things I'll Never Say" by Avril Lavigne. It's an easy song to play despite the barred chord.
