i've been playing the violin for 6 years, and i've been playing around with the cello a bit lately. it's a nice instrument to learn yes i would recommend it a lot Cellos sound great. Have you ever listened to Bach's Cello Suites? Incredible music. Sure, why not... Yoyoma seems to be making a good living at it.

Personally, I prefer the Guitar, but I play a lot of classical music... I'm not a 'strummer'. if it is something that you are interested in learning to play i would go for it It's pretty tough to learn from Jump Street but it's a beautiful instrument. What the heck, go for it! If you're in school, join the orchestra and use the school's instruments.

If you're not, then rent one first, get a beginning cello book and maybe take a couple beginning lessons. Then you can decide if it's something you want to do.

:) Cello is a great instrument - go for it. I personally don't like the cello, I am more of a wind player, but its a good instrument, I would choose a wind instrument though yes. i'm gonna learn also.
