Question:

How can I control spit back up when I play my Native American Flute?

I just bought a ceder Native American Flute. And I keep getting a lot of moister on top of the covered hole. It seems like it is effecting the playing of my flute once it gets wet. Is there anything I can do to help prevent this? Thanks.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Hey there, first what you might want to do is blow into the hole which the bird is covering and then try playing. That should do the trick if not blow into the flute, just blow without covering the holes. If you have anymore questions e-mail me! I play the Native American flute. This is a common problem that wind players have in general. If you are breathing correctly you are blowing out warm moist air. This moisture will condense in various places. The only thing you can do blow the moisture dry when not playing.
