I wanna learn how to sing!!?

I really wanna learn how to sing, and wanna join up with a band (Quater life crisis!) but i wanna learn tosing better but really dont wanna pay these ￡20 and hour tutitions for rubbish lessons..any suggestions/tips?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If you can't read music then you will need voice lessons. None of which are rubbish if they teach how to train you voice so you won'y hurt your voice. You may not sing right away but the lessons will teach you how to use your voice instead of just using your voice. Forget it try purchasing a songbook of familiar songs. Then sing along. It also helps to know how to read music Without vocal coaching or at least one choir class in your life... you're somewhat screwed. You need to learn to read music. practice in the shower. If you don't want to pay, then you are pretty much stuck. Without lessons you won't get far. Lessons aren't rubbish if you find the right teacher.
