Question:

Why is my voice so low when I wake up?

How can I acheive this result at a moment's notice? (I sing bass in a very good choir)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It's because your vocal chords are so relaxed at the start of the day that thier 'vibrations' are bigger...thereby making 'bass' frequencies louder. After about twenty minutes of talking or singing, they begin to tighten up a bit...so the depth of the 'bass' is less audible. The trick to getting them back is to find ways to 'relax' your vocal chords. Singing from the gut, not the throat...things like that. Drinking warm green tea helps too.
