i just got a drum set but i dont no how start playing a teacher is to expensive so how can i learn by myself

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I played for 10 years before I took lessons - so you can do it. Check out other local drummers - if you can become friends with local musicans maybe they can show you some stuff without really giving you lessons. Check out http://www.drummerworld.com/ Buy instructional videos or DVDs or books. Play to your favorite tunes. Look up the rudiments on the web and work through them as exercises. And when you can afford it - get some lessons! They're worth it.
