Majorette troubles plz help!?

Question:

Majorette troubles plz help!?

~my friend started twirling when i did but quit to be a drum major then to play an instrument
~she is behind & her routine ideas are NOT going to look good but she insists we do them anyway
~she is not happy about the prospect of makeup, sequins, and bows which goes with the territory
~i tried to teach her some simple dance steps to make our routine more eye catching but she doesn't get them & all i want to teach her are the 5 basic steps i know she hasn't had any dance & i have had six years but she is 14 and 3 year olds learn them so why can't she?
anyway plz help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
