Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Well, most poetry slams are not pre written I didn't think. Most I've been involved in are impromptu off the top of your head, or written in just a few hours (or maybe even a day or two). They are very much your own, you are not reading someone else's poetry.
As for finding them after the slams, very few print them anywhere, although you might could find some posted on some websites/forums somewhere.
It's almost like freestyle rapping face-offs or whatever.
