Question:

Anyone know of a awesome flute cleaner?

My flute is 6 years old, silver head and the rest is either sliver plated or as well silver. Im having a really hard time keeping it from changing colors on me *the oxygen in the air turns it* I know you can buy silver products to clean yourself... but Im kind of wary about it. This flute means a lot to me and wasnt by any way cheap, over $900. If anyone knows of any tricks or some place I can have it shipped to have a through clean that would be amazing! Thanks!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: If it's silver u're going to want to get a silver polishing cloth. They rock and it's totally what I use on my flutes. The one I use is gray and white, it's made by Blitz and says Metal care on the package. It has two cloths, one for fine cleaning and one for the more dirty stuff. I have friends who also swear by the blue polishing cloth. If you go to your favorite music store they are usually hanging on the wall by the pad savers and other accessories. If not ask for them, I'm sure they carry lots of different brands.
If it's really bad you may want to take it to a repair shop. It shouldn't cost that much unless you need other work done as well.
