Question:

Singing advice?

I like to sing and I always have as a little kid, but I need some tips.
Is there ways (food, water, practice, techniques) that I can make my voice great, and avoid stage fright?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Believe it or not, potato chips are actually good for before you sing. And of course water. Oh and make sure you are pushing in your diaphragm!

Work your way up on the stage fright thing. First sing in front of your family, then a group of friends, then maybe in a small musical production, then a bigger one, & so on...don't be afraid to take it slowly at first, you'll get it.

Take singing lessons from someone really good! That is key.

Best of luck!

p.s: When I was in the play Les Miserables, we had a guy who was in Broadway work on it with us, & he said himself, in the end, all the techniques & tips on singing in the world don't matter if you really put your heart into it!

However, when you get some solid techniques that you are certain are good for you, try to implant em into your brain, & make them second-nature.
