Question:

Is 28 years old too late to think about starting an acting career?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Yes and no. As a working actress myself, the competition is steep and it only gets more fickle as you get older. You pretty much have to be twice as good as the younger girls who already have experience, to get noticed. But, if you're serious about it and willing to put in all that effort, and if it's your passion. GO FOR IT! Take anything you possibly can, non- SAG jobs, indie/student films and specs. Any community theater, build up your resume, get into acting classes...even if you're an incredible actor....ALL agents look for where and who you've studied with and like to know and see that you're serious about your craft to get regular in put from an acting professional, so that's key even if you don't need it. Craig's list has many acting job posts and BackStage.com has listings and industry news/listings/resources.
