Question:

Whats the singable vocal range of the average guy. Are they the same or different.?

I know that men have a lower range than women but are all mans ranges the same. What is a normal mans range on the piano in relation to middle C. Can the range be expanded. If so, how.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Vocal ranges can always be expanded. It just takes a lot of work. I myself am a counter tenor. That means that I have the highest vocal range of men. In relation to middle C, my vocal range goes down to an F sharp two below middle C and a C sharp above middle C.

It really just depends on the individual. There are basso profoundos (absolute lowest), bass, baritone, bari-tenor, tenor, and counter tenor. There really isn't an average. It's all about the individual.

Most men however can go anywhere from two G's below middle C to an A above middle C. I'd guess that's close to average if you're looking for a dead on range.
