Learning guitar - big hands?!?

My husband and I are learning to play guitar. However. he has large hands and it is difficult for him to make the chords. Are there different sized guitars? Anyone have any suggestions?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There are different sizes certainly. I have been playing over 40 years and I too have large hands, practice will make this easier. Technique is paramount. Hand positioning, have him try moving his hand forward on the neck so his fingers come in contact with the fret board at more of a right angle. You may want to try a classical nylon string guitar the fret boards and the distance between strings are wider.
