What Broadway Musical or Show Do You Reccomend?

I live in NY and I plan on seeing a musical or show. What do you reccomend to make my first show great? I've heard Grease might ve good by the time it's out. I want your opinions!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I've seen Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables in NY-both were awesome.
Wicked is supposed to be excellent as well-I love the soundtrack and would like to see it too.
I've heard very good things about Mama Mia-if you like ABBA.
Don't know about Grease since it hasn't opened yet, but it would probably be a fun time.

Depending on your preferences, I don't think that you can go wrong with any of the current musicals playing on Broadway.

A poster earlier recommended listening to the soundtrack of Wicked if you are planning on seeing it-this is excellent advice for most of the musicals...sometimes it is difficult to catch all of the lyrics the first time. Plus, for me, it's more fun to listen to people perform songs that I've heard at least once before.
