How do you become a session singer?

I love to sing, but doubt i would ever become a star. So i was wondering how to become a successful session singer or any way to do singing for a living.

Sometimes they will have open stage night and you can try it, or you can audition. They might not pay very well, but you can earn a lot of tips if the crowd likes you.

Also, advertise in wedding fliers about being a wedding singer. They can make decent money. Some people charge 60-100 dollars an hour.
