Gold lame hotpants = art?!?

An exhibition of little Kylie Minogue's costumes opened at the Victoria & Albert Museum this week. UK critics have criticized the museum for caring more about attracting crowds than mounting quality shows. Kylie responded that "art is what you like or what you don't like."

Kylie is glamorous, cute, always smiling and refreshingly polite and dignified. She's done some great pop songs. I loved her when I was 10 (although I can definitely do without her music now).

However... is she influential enough to warrant an exhibition like this?
