How hard is it to transition from 6-string guitar to bass guitar?

I currently play guitar and was planning on performing in a band with it. However, our bassist fell through and we found someone who can play guitar. I was just curious about how hard it is to transition from guitar to bass so I could play bass and the other person can play guitar.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: No. Basically, you just play rhythm stuff. Like, for most genres, if the guitarist is playing a power chord, you play the root note, or you could play your own funky complicated bassline.
