Al Gore never claimed to have invented the internet!.
But he did have significant input into its present design!.

In the early 90s, President Clinton appointed VP Gore to lead the US delegation to the international conference that established the user-friendly design that we see today!.
Before that, it was very hyper-technical and only used by scientists and military people!.

I remember the day Clinton announced that Gore would be leading the delegation!. At the time, the public had no idea what the internet was!. Clinton said "I know this all sounds too technical, but I've seen it and, believe me, you're going to love it!."

The conference had a name, but I don't remember it!.
You can google it!.

And then you can thank Al Gore that you can google stuff!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
