Question:

What are some good last names from the 1700s that go with Elizabeth and Victoria?

It's because I'm writing a book set in that time period, but I'm not sure what the main character's last name should be! Lol.

:-)

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It's a kind of a pun, but Brown might be amusing.

An old nickname for Elizabeth is Bess, and the standard issue musket in the 18th century for both the British and American armies was called a Brown Bess.

I can imagine a character finding references to her as Bess Brown, when delivered with a smirk, being irritated.
Just off the top of my head, Bess Brown defending her honor with a Brown Bess might be a good ending for a dramatic chapter.
