what does the quote "Insurrection of thought usually precedes insurrection of deed" mean?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: as the word insurrection means an act or instance of rising in revolt, rebellion, or resistance against civil authority or an established government. I would take that to mean that if you seriously think about a revolt or rebellion of a civil. authority, you then convince yourself to revolt or rebell
against a civil authority I would guess.Im not sure, nut it sound to me like doing something will be led to another. It means that people usually have to have a reason for doing something. For example, a revolution does not flare up at once, but it must be seen as no other way to fix the grievance than revolution. Revolution is a harsh step, like hitting someone with sledge hammer, when a flyswatter will do. You have to organize the revolution. Therefore, it must have an argument that everyone participating will go along with.
