Annelies Marie Frank
that was her full nameWww@QuestionHome@Com
Both Ann and Anne are considered Dutch names!. But regardless, the man should have answered "Annelise Marie Frank," since that was her "real" name!. If her parents called her Anne, then her friends probably would have too, regardless!. Obviously she was not called "Annie" or she would be known as that today!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Ann Frank was born Annelies Marie Frank 12 June 1929 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany!.
Sorry to disappoint you, but the given name "Ann" does appear under the listing of Dutch baby names as well as the German listing of baby names!. Since Ann is a variant of the Hebrew Hannah, it probably appears in some form or another in most languages!.
