It would be easier to work out by the ages and birthdates of the younger woman and child in relation to the older members of the family!. Would also help if you knew what they were doing during the war years to age the photo!. The lady looks around 40ish!. The daughter has a child who looks 5!. If the daughter is 25, then her mother and father could be 45!. I think the little girl is 5 therefore it was taken in 1940!. My guess!. It would make the little girl 73 now!. Looks like the mother started having children early!. In those days children and grandchildren often lived with their grandparents and greatgrandparents!. There was probably more children born to single mothers then than now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I would say that your great grandmother was about 40 - 45 in the photo suggesting a date of around 1935 - 1940!. Style of clothing (double breasted suit) fits as well Not sure if the older of the two at the bottom is a child - she looks to be early twenties and the little girl about 3 - could they be mother and daughter!?Www@QuestionHome@Com i would saw around 50's 0r 60's!. it is a quite clear picture so its not too early like the 20's but its not in colour so it wouldnt be around 70's its your family look at them and try and predict a sort of age then you can work out how old the photo is buy there age now hope that helpedWww@QuestionHome@Com By the style of the clothes, I can say that you're looking for a date between 1935 and late 40's!. About the 2 children, the one on the right (your right) looks too old to be a child and the child on the left too young to be their children!. Could possibly be a daughter or a daughter in law with their grandson!? Or perhaps a neighbour!? I wish I could give you a more definite answer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I would say from the late 1930s to early 1950s!. I don't believe it would be around 1900!. The reason why the woman is smiling and the man is holding a pipe to his mouth!. Photography then was such that the least little movement would ruin a picture!. Therefore people didn't smile they look like standing or sitting corpses and holding a pipe to a mouth would definitely mean some slight movement!.Www@QuestionHome@Com My father kept his double breasted suit until he died in the late 1970's; from the ages you gave me, and the little bit of clue from the apparent clothing of the younger people, I have to agree with the lady who said 1950!. If you eventually find or determine it was a little earlier, 1947-1949, I wouldn't be surprised!. Where are they!? Europe!? Canada!? Scotland!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Got a picture pretty similar to this myself, from the early 1900's I'd say around 1900 - 1940 because this type of photography was used up to around 40's I'd say!.
