Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: What Tired said it's right for the derivation from 'Pater', but P㠲ri is a very famous Tuscan last name (Tuscany region)that derives from the apheresis (reduction) of the dialectal form 'Gasp㠲ri', then derived from the name 'G㠳pare' or 'Gasp㠲re' (Caspar, Casper, Jasper), so 'Parri' means 'belonging to the G㠳pare's family. In its turn 'Gaspare' derives from ancient Persian 'Gath㠳par', quietly meaning 'lightning': Ciao.
