Searching for info on Walker family from Tennessee and Mississippi 1800's?

We are looking in particular for any info on James Matthew Walker, born in Mississippi in 1847. Anyone with any info on this person would be much appreciated. We think he may be part Native American.

In answerr to Oh Oh, we know nothing of tje Walker Family before Janes Matthew Walker. We know he was supposed to be born in Mississippi in 1847, but no info on parents, siblings, etc. When we try to go [ast that time, we hit a brick wall.
We have extensive records from the Time James Matthew married in Tennessee but nothing before then. Thanks.

This is James Matthew and his wife Jane Douglass. We need info on the James Matthew Walker before he married Jane Douglass. We cannot find any info prior to his marriage. Thanks. He did live most of his life in Sumner County Tennessee.

There seems to be some sort of black sheep of the family story behind this mystery. His wife Jane Douglass was from a prominent family in the early founding of Sumner County. She is not buried in the Douglass family burial plots but in a different site in the town cemetery.We have not been able to locate James Matthew's grave. We think maybe James Matthew might have been part Native American or born from a slave and the fa ily did not want any info on his lineage to be known.

The 62 yr old James Walker that grannytoad posted would have been around the right age to be James Matthew's father. Yet we have not been able to find any further info on James Matthew's parents.
