Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: There is a LARGE Klotz population currently living in Pennsylvania. I did a search and got 1320 hits!! I checked the Philadelphia Passenger Lists, 1800-1945 and got several points of origin. Some listed their last residence as England, some German, some Russian. With that said, if you are interesting in tracing your Klotz line the only way to do it and do it right is to start with yourself and work back person by person, generation by generation. If you do it systematically, your heritage will unravel before your eyes. It is an amazing experience. Here is a link to the message board at genforum

You might find some neat information on this board, but I recommend using these boards in your search. I have met up with some tremendous people using these boards. They have one for each county, states, country, some province boards and special interests like wars, cemeteries etc.,
