Question:

Names.... history.?

Just curious, names normally have meanings. People are always like, this name comes from some language and means this.

So does that mean at some point, people basically would be like, ..... hey, chair, whats going on.
Or would they have been using words that are not common in their language, sorta like what we do today.

I figured some dont have meanings.

I'm muslim myself and i had a relative, not an arab speaker, took a random word out of the koran that they thought sounded pretty to name their daughter.

So yeah, it is a word, but being in an english speaking country, it becomes more of a meaning.

Humerous note, they found out later the name was a place in hell.
