Question:

Has anyone paid to see a record on emerald ancestors? Is it worth it?

I've found my great grandparents wedding certificate but I don't know whether it's worth the ⣹.99 fee to see it as I'm not sure what information it gives. Would I get any more than their names and when they were married, which I already know? They were married in Antrim if that helps. Ideally I want their date of birth and possibly parents names which you get on Scottish ceritifcates.

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I paid to get my Great Grandparents marriage certificate from them and was very pleased with the result. They send a nice facsimile in pdf format. Mine showed his occupation and both their residences at the time of marriage, plus both their fathers names & occupations. Also a couple of witnesses names (usually relatives). Unfortunately there were no ages as it just shows 'full age' if they are over 21. Mine was in the Londonderry district for 1886. I imagine Antrim would be similar as they were fairly standardised by that date.
