I'm trying to find my cousins...i don't know their names.....?

I have never had a good relationship with my fathers side of the family (i was unwanted by them) - my father passed away about a year ago and i am trying to find my 2 cousins from his side. I don't know very much about them. I need to find them. I know what area they live in, but i dont even know their full names. All i know is that they are around my age, and one of them is named brandon.

does anyone know a way to look up family records (online)?
maybe by useing just the last name? ANY help would be appreciated~!

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I would go to the nearest good-sized library near where you know your father and those cousins grew up and ask where to look at old crisscross or city directories. You might plunk yourself at one of the library's computer stations with the book/s and log into mapquest, look up addresses as you go and see which similar surnames live close to one another, too. Some old directories even list childrens' names.

Librarians or those live folks at the genealogy section may know the family. Ask! Poke into their local history family files too.

Not knowing your father's name age or where he's from, I don't know if he was alive by 1930 census. If he was then you could look right into his parents' home and see who his siblings and neighbors were.
