Question:

If i know the full name of someone how can i find out info online about them.?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It would be dependent on how many records are out there about them. For example, I am in the California birth index and have a really uncommon name. I also know the county clerks office of the city I was married in has my marriage record online. The county clerks office has recorded the fact that I own land and my cousin has a family tree online, so really if people knew where to look, they could find out quite a bit about me.

Some localities have more online than others. For Example, Florida has boatloads of information online in their clerk of court records. I have pulled marriage licenses, divorce decrees, lawsuit judgements. In recent months they have tried to put tighter controls on the information, but its almost criminal how much information they had out there for a while.
Oklahoma has next to nothing online... no birth records or indexes, no death index, and very few marriage records.

It also depends on the type of information you are trying to find out about them. Since you posted the question in genealogy , I am assuming you want just biographical information.
