Question:

Great-great-grandmother was supposed to have been Blackfoot Cherokee from TN, where can I find more?

Her name was Minerva Cleveland. She was born in Tennessee and died in New Orleans in 1927. Her father was Jim Cleveland. She married first William Winston of VA and later George Penelton of MS.
She is said to have been a Blackfoot Cherokee. I know that this is a mixed-race tribe, not affiliated with the Blackfoot tribe of the West.
Are Blackfoot Cherokee common in TN?
Is there history preserved?
