Question:

A man was buried on another family burial spot. What can be done about it?

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: My uncle was buried in the wrong plot, and someone else put into our family plot. He had to be exhumed and a family member had to identify him, he had been dead for nine months and the whole process took that long so you can imagine what a terrible thing it was to have to confirm it was my uncle in the wrong grave. It was done in the early morning hours, the grave where my uncle was buried was covered with a tent, the grave was opened up and the coffin exhumed and opened. My other uncle did the i.d and the only way he knew it was his brother was by the gap in his front teeth and the corner missing off another tooth. He was haunted by the sight until he died. My uncle was exhumed and re buried under cover of another tent over the family grave, both bodies that were exhumed were re-buried with a vicar in the tents and saying prayers for them both. So I really wouldn't move the person, let him rest where he is, bless him.
