Remember the archives in Belfast were destroyed by the IRA a few years ago, making it difficult. If you ancestor is Catholic, their records were not centralized, so you stand a good chance of getting them direct from the Church(s). If you use the Family Search by LDS, be sure to look in the IGI (international genealogical index) to ensure you get Ireland. |
