Question:

How do I find out if my ancestors were Native Americans or came over as settlers?

I have names and if i calculate right they should have been born between 1763-1815. I am told cherokee and german run on this side. Are there links for the names of settlers who came over around this time or names of native americans? So far my family seems to have centered around the area of Guilford County, North Carolina, Rockingham county, North Carolina and Forsyth County North Carolina..

I have names, birthdates, death dates, and social security number for this family up to 1883. After that I only have names and their spouses, this is off of a document my great grandmother filled out to prove she was related to someone. I have the names back to what would be my great great great great great grandparents.
